Solved Lost Windows password

Hi.
I have a Lenovo Y560, running Home Premium.
After not having used it for too long, I have forgotten the password.
Where do I begin?

I also have a disc from a VAIO purchase that seems to have WindowsRE, which is important here, I guess.

Forum rules prevent us from telling you specifically how to bypass a password, but if you Google around a bit, you should be able to find threads about disk images you can purchase to burn a CD that will allow you to blank the password.

Hey Mark,

It's only against the forum rules if you suspect the computer doesn't belong to them, or say a kid trying to get into the parent's admin account.

You may be able to use one of the options in the tutorial below to reset your password. Option Five would probable be best in this case.
