Low sound on asus p5n-d

Im running 7 32-bit RTM on asus p5n-d and im getting poor sound levels.
Compared to my old pc that was blowing my ears out just on 50% the full sound

Is there any fix for this? I tried updating the drivers that boosted the sound only a bit but it isnt enough for me.

Realtek ALC883 Audio Driver V6.0.1.5859 for Windows 7 and Windows 64bit 7.(WHQL)

Are you using this driver? Your board has Win 7 support at Asus.

Driver problems aside because man there are just so many but assuming that you have the correct driver try this,

Tried it but no difference
