Machine won't hibernate?

Make sure that the "Allow the computer to turn off this device … " option is enabled for each device.

For most devices this checkbox is rendered inactive (gray) and unchecked. Is it normal?

The only other aggravating issue is that McAfee won't work with Win 7 yet. I'm using a 14 Day trial of Norton for now, but I would really just like to use a free AV until McAfee delivers a working product. Does anyone have a suggestion? I've heard that Spyware Doctor or Avast might do the trick.

Microsoft security essentials is a good choice its free and built for windows 7 in all accounts most gurus on this site would agree

Also a good anti-virus solution. Not the best, but it get's the job done for most end users. Thumbs up.
