Folks
Am hoping some of the smart folks here can help me out
I have an HP desktop, with an i7 and 8 gig ram. I stuck an SSD drive in and got my bootup time to about 20 seconds from pressing the on button. All was fine in the world for many many months.
Lately I noticed it was getting slower (I don't normally sit and wait for it to boot, so it was not like one day I realized, more of a gradual realization)
So I went back and checked the event viewer. On Nov 6th my MainPathBootTime was 5881, on Nov 7th it was 39,318. Over 30 seconds increase. There are no 101, 102 etc event messages showing degradation.
I don't recall installing anything on that day and there are no restore points before that time.
I am trying to find out what tools/monitoring I can do to discover what is happening during those 39 seconds....or what was installed on Nov 6th
I am reasonably tech savvy but not Win 7 knowledgeable...
Any help is VERY much appreciated
Thanks
Simon
