If you are referring to the default Windows 7 clock gadget, have a look at "C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\Clock.Gadget\images\modern.png".

Hey towle I just figured everything out and heres what you need to do...

First you need to go into sidebar folder-not the x86 folder just the Program Files

C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\Clock.Gadget\Images

then you can see images for all of the different clocks, etc.

So then what I did to test this all is I made a new image for the (modern.png) clock which is normally red I made a blue one.

Original :
modern1.png

Blue :
modernc.png

Download link - RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

Ok so once you get that and goto the folder you can paste it in there. Now you'll notice another image called modern_settings.png thats what will display in the settings tab of the clock gadget but if you just replace the modern.png it will show up as the blue. Now one extra step I had to do was take ownership of the folder due to it asking me for special permissions.

So just download this file from the windows 7 forums..

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1911-take-ownership-shortcut.html?ltr=T

Extract the folder and right click on the file that says "InstallTakeOwnership.reg" and click "Merge" it will be ontop it might give you some messages, so just say ok. Then goto

C:\Program Files\Windows SideBar\Gadgets\Clock.Gadget\

Right click the "Images" folder in the Clock.Gadget folder and click "Take Ownership" it will do its thing real quick and then ti will allow you to rename / replace / etc the original files in there.

i hope this has helped you and anyone else that wanted this! Also if you need a custom clock face lemme know I can do pretty much almost anything! =P
