Make deleted files unrecoverable

Basically, I am giving a laptop to a family member, so I formatted my old laptop and installed windows on it.
But now, I wanna make sure nothing can be recoverable that's already deleted, with out having to uninstall the current windows installed on it.

I googled but everything wants to completely delete everything first.

So anyway on doing so?

This can be corrupting everything deleted, over righting, don't matter!

Basically, formatting your disk doesn't make your files "gone".
After that, you have to fill the drive so the sectors still containing the "old files" will be overwritten by the new files
that way, I don't see it can be recovered

Yes I know this very well!

I need said "way" to fill the sectors containing old files with out having to completely delete everything already installed, since everything I came across wanted to do that. (because I have lots of stuff on it already, ready to be given to said family member)

Well the main point is to not format the current stuff I have installed because I have a lot of stuff installed for next owner of it.

Cipher

cipher with the /w parameter

If you did a full format with windows 7 then it has already been overwritten.
