Solved Max Payne 3 Crashes on 2nd Cutscene Please Help !!!

First of all i m new on this forum and sorry for my english,I've bought max payne 3 original dvd ,it installed properly.when i start it till the main menu its ok but after starting a new game it works for 5-10 seconds on the first cutscene of the game, then it crashes and i need to remove the battery of my laptop to restart.I need help Please anyone help me here.
My pc specs are:
os:win 7 ultimate x64
ram:3gb
on board intel hd graphics
intel i3 core processor


Please help me mates!!! i will be very happy if anyone helps me.

Thanks mate for reply ,but i tried all of ur solutions before but still not working.
I should tell u that my friend has same pc as mine ,same pc specs ,in his pc the game is working perfectly but i have problem please suggest me any other solution.I m very curious to play the game ,so please help me.

Hi HanishGC,

Did you try reinstalling. If yes try updating the video drivers for the computer from manufacturers support site. When the game crashes do hear any buzzing sound from the computer? Have you experienced the same issue with any other games in the past?

i tried reinstalling it works fine but later in mission 3 opening cutscene again same problem any help?

Are you sure you are using Intel hd graphics im Surprised it even ran
Also that could be a dirext x issue

i saw the videos on youtube of max payne 3 gameplay on slow processor than mine its working fine and as i said above my friend has same pc specs as mine and he is on the ending of the game.i m stuck now at mission 3 cutscene and when the game freezes , if i press esc button many times it pauses also, same when i press enter button it shows 'still loading'.any solution mate.........? and i will also try to reinstall directx9.0

if it is intel HD that would be 10 or 11 most likly 10 because it doesn't support 11 like it says

AFAIK the game even when updated is notoriously known for crashing with certain combinations of hardware and drivers...

I've experienced a few crashes to desktop myself on several occasions during certain cutscenes, all i could do is just restart the game, lower the settings, and hope it goes through this time around..

To the TS, try lowering everything to minimum and try playing that part again...

i tried playing on lowest settings as well as on highest settings ,also used commandline to play on lowestttttt settings.But no progress and btw thanks for the solution , but it not worked any other idea? and one more thing i played from the starting and also switched to dx10 and on window mode, but that not helped me.

Run it in dx9 instead of 10.Will stress the chip less. Also patch the game if you haven't yet.

played in both dx versions patched it already and reinstalled it three times......... any other solution?

Try this - run "Max Payne 3 Safe Mode"

I ran into a similar problem on my home PC. I actually finished the game, and wanted to play again on HARD. But I could not even get started again, as it would crash every time in the first cut scene, about 3 minutes into it. I had changed nothing since I played before. I did all the things the various sites stated, new video drivers, registry editting, etc.. I was just about to try a complete re-install, in fact I was on my way to do it by searching for an un-install program for it. I went to Start/All Programs/Rockstar Games/Max Payne 3, and instead of finding "Uninstall Max Payne 3" like I was looking for, I found a "Max Payne 3 Safe Mode" just below the regular Max Payne 3 option. (Note, I'm on Windows XP on this particular machine).

I ran it this way, runs within a window (vice full screen). I got through the cutscene that formerly crashed. It got far enough to auto-save past the offending cutscene. I then stopped the game, and re-launched the regular way, and continued the game from there.

Not sure this will work for you or not, but it was the only thing that worked for me.

Thanks mate for ur help,but.... i solved it by myself and completed this game two times.......Anyway thanks..........
In my problem ,some of the objects in the game were missing or corrupted,when the game is in cutscene it loads all the textures and objects that are required to play in next level.When the game finds corrupted or missing textures/objects it freezes and because it is a very big game we need to forcely restart pc.
I solved it by reinstalling , it was the only way to solve in my prob.I first did a complete uninstall (even from registries) restarted pc and then installed it in new different location . after installation and i updated them manually (i got all update setups from somewhere on internet).i not allowed the game to go online.finally it started and ran smoothly without any lags......
