Maximum RAM Read on 32 bit systems

Many thanks for correcting re PAE (for >4GB). Here is the snip, in 3 files. Noticed that Win 7 Home Basic has not snipping tool. Need to use Snippy for it.

That is what is eating up your address space. So the question is why What PCI devices do you have?

That's a good question! How do I find these out, and this netbook is new? Really appreciate if you can guide me through.

Dear all, problem resolved ! It is due to incorrect additional 2GB that was added on by the retailer. Somehow, these rams have to come in the right pair ! - even they looked identical. Standard 2Gb with the notebook, must be 'paired' to have Windows recognized the additional 2GB. My Win7 can now see 3.12GB of the 4GB installed ! Thanks, everyone.
