Memory Management BSOD when using Google Chrome

Hello everyone , I recently bought a new computer and have been getting Memory Management BSODs when using Google Chrome.I have played games for hours and it never happens. Only when using Chrome to browse websites. But it is probably not Chrome and more likely my ram.

I just want to make sure that is the cause of the problem. The reason I think it is my ram is because I use 1866mhz ram which I guess is atypical for my laptop(Clevo P370SM3) even though others have used it fine.

Anyway, I would love if someone were to look through the two dump files included in the zip and tell me for sure that it is my ram. I ran windbg and couldn't really find anything other then stuff pointing to memory and chrome as the program used before crash. I ran memtest 86+ 5.01(only 1 pass) and no errors were found.

Thanks Ahead!

Yea it looks like it is in fact your ram thats the culprit because the bluescreenview screen(dump file viewer) is showing that its a memory management issue.

EDIT (forgot to put this in): I would try taking out your ram and put them back in one by one and see if you can get the death screen to show up. If at any point; it does; you might have a bad and or incompatible type of ram. Even though it may work while playing games etc. and at other times it doesnt THAT is probably the reason for the bsod(the ram is i do believe)

Yeah I saw that, is there any way to know for sure before I contact the retailer and say the ram is faulty. I wanted to make sure because I have read online that just because it says memory management bsod does not mean that it is always the ram.

If anyone has a more technical information on the dump file pointing to the ram, it would be greatly appreciated. Like something inside the dump file pointing to the ram?

I mean; just the mere fact that when i opened the dump file using blue screen view; and the string "memory management" was shown there imo was a clear giveaway that it had most likely had to do with the ram; or another variable that manages ram etc.

Ok the reason I thought it was something else was because the ram passed the memtest86. I will try leaving it running overnight to see if 6-7 passes of the memtest will give any errors.

Both dmps are BugCheck 1a's - unfortunately quite diffuclt to diagnose.

If the RAM test returns no errors, try this:

1. Click Start
orb.png

2. In the search box, type cmd
3. In the list that appears, right-click on cmd.exe and choose Run as administrator
4. In the command window that opens, type sfc /scannow and hit enter.

Report the output from the command window once it finishes.

Ok thanks I will do that, the memtest is still running from last night. Looked at it this morning and saw it was only at pass 3.

Just got home, its been running for 17 hours and its on pass 6. Seems like it has slowed down, is this normal for 16gb of ram?

SFC scan was fine.

"Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

The memtest86+ 8 pass found no errors either. I am just gonna guess that this particular ram has some stability problems since it is 1866mhz rated ram.
