I'm running win 7 sp1 64 bit pro and was fully patched until end of support. I have a ms life cam installed. Starting today, I get a notice on my screen that says "to use live chat you must install messenger 8.1, install now "yes" or "no" - I click "no" and then it reappears, and reappears. On the properties tab, it says that it is lcbuddy.exe, but that file is not on my pc. I don't have live essentials installed and I rarely use the life cam and I've never used live chat.
When I check windows update, update says there are no updates for my computer.
I'm thinking that this is a virus that is trying to trick me into clicking the install button.
Anyone else had this issue or any thought on what it might be.
