Mic in at rear panel "Not plugged in"

I have plugged microphone on rear panel (pink). But its showing Mic in at rear panel "Not plugged in" and i am unable to record my voice. But rear panel audio output (green) is working properly. and also Front panel is working properly.

Realtek audio driver is installed.
Operation system is windows 7 x64

Whether it will make a difference or not, Stereo Mix should be set as Default Recording device. Then you don't have to set whatever is plugged in to default. In addition if you want to record audio from the internet you need Stereo Mix to do that.

The Plugged in notification is provided by a mechanical connection that is either opened or closed by the actual plug being inserted. It is quite possible that there is a mechanical fault with this mechanism and depending of the design of the socket it may or may not be repairable - or may need to be replaced, or even the motherboard will be needed to be replaced - It's our throw away society

An alternative to replacing or adjusting the mechanical parts you could consider a USB sound "card" which are available for a lot less than the repair charge or replacement M/B, and these days produce reasonable results

In most cases, because of the multi-layer PC board special desoldering/soldering equipment is needed for parts replacement on motherboards (usually) they are only a "depot" level repair (if it is even repairable). Since the front panel mic jack works, I would continue using that and not worry about the rear panel jack. The other options, as noted by Nigel are a separate sound card or replacement of motherboard. Just using the front panel mic jack costs you nothing, the others will cost you $$.

actually my front panel are damaged, this is why i want rear panel jack.
