i got the newest VPC too see if its better than the old 2007 release but its even worse its slow as hell and hogs all the CPU cores (6 cores with HT = 12) and laggs the system :mad2: so ill stick with SUN's Free VPC since it works better than microsoft's release.

Id think Microsoft would make a better product!! but as always no!!

If you don't have enough knowledge and / or experience to fine tune your Win7 computer, and Virtual PC machines running on it, you can hardly blame Microsoft.

There are several, easy and fast tips and tricks to speed up virtual machines. I have no problems using Virtual PC, especially XP Mode is quite easy to modify to allow it to run faster and without problems. The screenshot here shows my completely normal HP dual core laptop (see the specs) running two virtual machines, Seven Enterprise and XP Mode, simultaneously. Both virtual machines have been allocated 1GB of RAM, but still the whole system is using only about 3.2GB RAM and between 45 and 60% of CPU (see the CPU / RAM gadget top right). It's quite remarkable when you think I'm using Aero, have lots of gadgets and running services etc.

I have nothing against Oracle VirtualBox (previously known as Sun VirtualBox). I use it almost daily; as much as I like VirtualPC, VirtualBox is IMO better when running pre-XP Windows OS's and various Linux distros.

Wouldn't it be a better approach to list all issues you have with Virtual PC, and come here with questions, than to start with blaming MS for your limited knowledge? Just ask, we are here to help, and can quite often solve and fix the various issues members have.

P.S. IT's no longer Sun VirtualBox. After Oracle bought Sun, it's now officially Oracle VirtualBox. It would give a little bit more weight to your comments, if you at least checked these minor but still important facts.
