greetings to everyone!

i have a user here at work that has given me a rather peculiar predicament.

Back in mid november i had just upgraded the user from an xp box to a win7 box. As soon as she logged in, the problems started. i wont get into all of them, because i am only here for one of the problems.
Here is the skinny: she has 3 user account folders on the machine. the would be as follows

user.design
user.design.000
msuseryes

originally what happened was i had thought her user account wasnt populating correctly to win 7 so in my eagerness to fix the problem i blew away her user account (that was a mistake). So that she wasnt completely inaccessible, my super created her a special user account called "msuseryes" (i have no idea how he came up with it, dont ask). She-user was able to use msuseryes to log into the computer and work throughout the rest of the day while i worked at restoring her profile onto the network. luckily i was successful.
so the next day i went up and logged into her computer her user name and the box made "user.design". i reset office settings to save to network folders and set up printers. then i logged off, since she had the day off.
when she-user came to work the following day, she logs in, but instead of using the "user.design" folder for profile settings, it created "user.design.000". i found this out because she called me up telling me that she didnt have the printer setup and couldnt find her networked drives that i had mapped. i thought she was just being blonde but sure enough, all my work was gone. i did some snooping around and found the "user.design.000".
i tried blowing away the "msuseryes" and "user.design.000" accounts and renamed the "user.design" account to "user", but it ended up deleting all documents and files and folders...basically a divide by 0 incident. i restored the computer to an earlier time and the folders were back.
now, i have discovered that whenever she logs in, using user name and password, somehow it is logging her in under the "msuseryes" account, even though she hasnt touched it since november, but the files are updating to todays time stamps.

i have no idea what the heck is going on, and i loath the idea of pulling her box and reformating it if i dont have too...

this is not a windows 7 issue and does not require formatting...

when you added her as a user did you copy another user, or make her from scratch?

this is a domain i am guessing and not a workgroup?

when windows startups and shows login screen you should type domainname\username and than the password, from what it looks like to me ,she probly does not know this and is logging into computer and not domain....

nope. she is logging into the domain. i had that same idea, and watched her log in, but she is doing it right.

did you add her to the correct groups in AD that she was before? if you right click on her name in AD, does she still have correct profile path and logon script that she used to?

also you need to go active directory users and computers, find her, and right click on her name, go to environment tab and check the boxes, connect client drives at logon, connect client printers at logon, and default main client printer....

if you cannot see environment, go to your console and click view and make sure advanced features is checked, after you made this change make sure you uncheck this as easy mistakes can be made with this checked

also, make sure she has a connection to the DC, ping is useful and so is tracert
