I have a HP desk top with an older hp 19" monitor. Some mornings when I "wake" the computer up the monitor does not come on. I have to unplug it from the power and plug it back in.

Anyone know how to fix this other than keeping it on all the time?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

The first step may be to check for updated drivers.

Go to device manager and look for any yellow warnings posters indicating problems.

i had the same issue, i had to go to advanced power settings and set "Allow wake timers" to disabled and "USB selective suspend setting" to disabled.

That seemed to fix my display issue.

Try hitting a keyboard button or two before you move the mouse around.
