moving all user account profile folder from the C:\ to another inWin10

Hi,
First of all: I am familiar with that my thread should have been asked in the Win 10 Forum. However, since I don't like now to sign up a new account in Win 10 Forum and also this thread is related to both systems Win 7 and Win 10, I posted my thread here.


Then,
I always prefer this partition setup:
First HDD:
- C for the OS
- D recovery partition (often hidden)
- E for personal files (so you have to move your special folders 'Documents, Pictures, Downloads etc. there and preferably your mail etc. Anything that can change on a daily basis).

- I was having Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed on C:
- In windows 7, I moved all existing user account profile folder from the default location(C:\Users) into (D\:Users) in both the Windows explorer and in the registry. by following the Brink's explanation

- By following Brink's explanation, I moved all newly created user account profile folder from the default location(C:\Users) into (D\:Users)

- I moved public user account profile folder from the default location(C:\Users) into (D\:Users)

- I was working well with this partition setup.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- However, I have now installed a new fresh of Windows 10 Home 64-bit in-place the old Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit(in the C partition).
My question is: Can I do the same thing with the Windows 10?

NOTE: I want to edit the Registry to move all user account profile folders. I really did that in Windows 7 and it worked well with me. But with Windows 10, I don't know if it could work or not

This is my saying in the technique: Split your main hard drive into two partitions ...
"C:" for your system and "D:" (or another letter) for your 'special folders'.



Important: I don't only want to move each of these folders individually:

Documents
Downloads
Desktop
Pictures
Videos
Contacts
Favorites
Links
Music

Dropbox, SkyDrive, GoogDrive and son..

Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail



Instead of that, I want to move all the folders(personal stuff) of all the user accounts all together into a data partition.(D)

As a result, I am expecting that the solution is to make another partition other than Windows partition(C). After that, I will go to 'Regedit' and move all the user accounts into new location.

I've asked the author of that tutorial to look at your thread, I can't help you with that myself.

He knows everything about that stuff.

Everything saved in any user folder will then be automatically saved to new location. This applies to all existing and new users; when a new user account will be created, the storage location of this user's folders will by default be the new location,

The registry method you have used in Windows 7 is no longer needed in Windows 10. If you only want to move documents, pictures and such to another drive instead of moving the whole main profile folder Users, you can now do it from Settings app. This method requires it to be done separately to every user. Thanks a lot Kari for your response to this thread of mine.
I Want to Move all Users Profile Folders to another Location in Windows 10. So, I think I'll need to do registry method as you sated in your tutorial.
