On one CD that I ripped to mp3 files there is a problem displaying the artwork on the first track. It does not display in Windows Media Player or when viewing the filenames in Windows Explorer. All the other tracks show the artwork in WMP and Windows Explorer except for the this one file.

However the problem track does display the artwork when playing in VLC & its Media Information screen does show the artwork is there.

I’ve ripped this track several times but nothing fixes the problem. Any idea what’s wrong & how to correct it?

Think I have it figured out. I thought the ripped files contained embedded artwork because I can't find a folder where a linked image is stored. After doing a lot of Googling it appears ripping a CD using Windows Media Player does not embed the artwork. I still don't know where the artwork is hidden, but I'm using WMP to add & embed the artwork to all the files in an album.
