Msdia80.dll file

I think I know where this came from; the reality is that it is now located at the root of my Storage drive (while the *apparently* correct version Msdia90.dll is in the VC folder). I am not sure what I am supposed to do with this now, if not simply remove it to the Recycle Bin.

Is there a definitive solution to this issue (I have not seen any problems with the PC just wondering if I need to be proactive)?

er...I admit I do not follow you. VLC as the Videolan player? What does it have to do with the dll file? I must be missing something...Can you please explain?
