Solved msistk32.dll specific module could not be found error on startup

Hi there

On startup I get the error of msistk32.dll could not be started specific module could not be found

I've done some investigations already, using a program called 'autoruns' which found the error and the file location is in the registry under: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\current version\run and the entry is MSIDLL

This is what I managed to find but it doesn't make too much sense to me and I don't know what to do now?

So what can I do? How do I get msistk32.dll back that Windows is trying to run or get rid of what is trying to run it?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

The fact that I cannot find any useful information pertaining to that module leads me to believe it was part of malicious software that your security software (mostly) removed. You can probably find a way to fix it by doing the steps to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ation-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html.

Thanks! That solved the problem, I found it in the start up section of msconfig and disabled it
