Multiple laptop issues - BSODs, mouse & keyboard locking up, etc.

Another BSOD today. No USB devices plugged in, and it's been less than a week since the last crash.

What should I do?

Thank you for the reply, but I'm afraid installing that driver didn't help. I had another BSOD today, and as usual, no USB devices were plugged in at the time. I was getting occasional "USB device not recognized" error messages in the days leading up to this latest crash, but I never had a USB device plugged in whenever I got one of these errors.

I've started to notice a pattern: a lot of the time (though not always), a BSOD happens when I'm playing a video on Twitch.

Go to Device Manager and see if there are yellow exclamation marks. How are these, enter the properties of the device with this exclamation mark and paste the ID of this device

Hi Leaflove,

To find out if all your hardware device drivers are working correctly you can check for any yellow triangles in the Device Manager [Start => Control Panel => Device Manager => Expand ALL nodes].

If there are any yellow triangles you can view the Device Status [it will give you the Error message / Error code] of the problem by right-clicking the item with the Error => Properties => General tab.

I hope this helps!

Do you still have a message that the USB device is not recognized? As it disappears from time to time, wait for it to appear and then check the Device Manager

The USB error message hasn't appeared again yet, but my mouse and keyboard locked up again today. I've attached the logs, in case they reveal anything.

Do you still have blue screens? Because the last logs are from June. From what I see a USB controller is damaged. Maybe I missed it, but you were with the laptop on the computer service?

The last BSOD I had was a week ago. I'm afraid I don't understand your other question, though.

Everything indicates laptop damage. Disabling USB controllers in the BIOS if I understood correctly nothing could be asked, so I ask you have sent a laptop to a computer service?

No, I haven't. I was hoping I could get the problem solved (or at least diagnosed) without resorting to send it to a repair shop.

Well, but how do you want to fix it since 8 sites are still responsible for the USB driver from BSOD? Laptop BIOS if I remember correctly you also have the latest one so I don't know what else you can do

I will try differently. Your topic about laptop problems is 8 pages right? And through these 8 pages it was determined that you have a problem with the laptop USB controller. The sum of the summary could not be resolved from the software side, and you cannot repair the laptop yourself from the hardware side

I took my laptop to a computer repair store. They weren't able to replicate the BSOD, and suggested that I might possibly have bad RAM. What's the best way to confirm whether my laptop's RAM is good or not? I feel like I've already run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics test, but it didn't detect any problems.

Hi Leaflove,

I took my laptop to a computer repair store. They weren't able to replicate the BSOD, and suggested that I might possibly have bad RAM. What's the best way to confirm whether my laptop's RAM is good or not? I feel like I've already run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics test, but it didn't detect any problems.

To be honest, if they were a decent computer repair shop they would of had RAM available that they could have swapped out to test this! They should have also run the below!

Use can test the RAM with Memtest86+ => How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+. This will take quite a while!

I hope this helps!
