My asus x44h wont boot after I install windows 7 on it

Hi there, so i just buy a new laptop, and it need windows 7 to install the driver..


So I install win7 with a dvd, and complete the whole step, but after the welcome screen appear, 5 sec later, it suddenly shutdown itself, and it wont boot from the hdd, it just show the asus screen, then blinking cursor, and then restart and show the asus screen again, and so on..


I dont do anything on my laptop spec

processor dual core
ram 2gb ddr3
vga intel gma
hdd sata 320gb

Where did you get WIn7? Did you burn the DVD yourself? BUrn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed.

Reset BIOS to defaults: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

While in BIOS setup set SATA controller to AHCI to try install first, then IDE mode if necessary.

Wipe the HD using Diskpart Clean Command

Follow these same steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7 Factory OEM

I already try the CMOS clearance (using optimized bios setting)

what the difference between disk cleaning and the clean install? I mean, both of them clear all files in your hdd, right?


Im trying to set SATA to IDE mode ways to see if it works

Diskpart Clean Command overwrites boot sector code which may be blocking or interfering with installation or even boot, and solves install problems in many cases here.

I tried to set my sata to IDE mode, but then my installation become slow, and it stuck on installing update.. Should i revert it back?



Now im trying diskpart clean..

Still failed, so now i try AHCI mode..


Aaannddd it failed too...



Have any idea? I try the repair option, but doesnt work either, and the log show no error detected.. But i still cant boot my windows..





Ive tried xp and vista on this laptop, and it work perfectly, but im forced to use 7 because the driver only for windows7..


I really need help here..

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals,

Boot into BIOS setup, reset to defaults, save changes. (If an EFI BIOS you'll need to decide if you want UEFI BIOS vs. Legacy BIOS. If UEFI follow these special steps for Install, otherwise enable Legacy BIOS or Compatibility Support Module to proceed with normal install.) Set DVD drive first to boot, HD second, set SATA controller to AHCI, Save changes and Exit.

Then boot into Windows 7 installer DVD or flash stick burned or written using tool and latest ISO for your licensed OS version here.

At first installer screen Press Shift + F10, or enter System Recovery Options to open a Command Box, type:

DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
ACTIVE
EXIT
EXIT

Next click Install Now, then Custom install to Clean Install Windows 7 to the partition you created. If it fails then report back at which step and the verbatim error message.

In addition read over these steps to understand the tools and methods which work best to get and maintain a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. The steps are the same for retail.

After install you can adjust partition size or Create new partitions for data, etc. in Disk Mgmt. You are creating the partition here for the purpose of wiping the HD and marking Active which overcomes certain install failures.
