Ok so I play a hell lot of games on my laptop. My laptop has never overheated or anything as such but just yesterday my registry got corrupted, tried fixing that from morning it didn't work. Now it says my boot selection failed and im unable to even get to the login screen. Im just a windows who just can't seem to get past the following:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1: Insert your windows installation disc and restart computer. ( Don't have this disc but i have an acer repair disc which i made and also 4 recovery discs which i make every 3 months with an app drive disc i also made, could those help)
2: Choose your language settings, and then click "Next".
3: Click "Repair your computer" ( Really wish i could do that right now)
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

Status: 0xc000000f
Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.
My Dad's comp ran into the same problem. His is a dell inspiron. Mine is an acer aspire. Model: Zrl

What happens when you boot the disk?

Did you reset the BIOS? Is HD detected?

You'll need to boot the disk or access Repair via F8 at boot to try repairs, rescue your files and reinstall

If no files to rescue you can try Acer Recovery from F11 key at boot.

Ok so im using our only working laptop to do this and i do not really no which file to download because i dowloaded the file which says home premium and it keeps telling me to read it online.

You need to be more specific about what you are trying and what you are doing. Saying it didn't work man tells us nothing.

Your awesome for reading this.
Please answer all of the questions asked. If you're unsure how to perform a step then ask back how to do it, but do not skip a step because we often find out days later the skipped step is the fix.

Ok so Greg I did the acer recovery thing and I picked to set it to factory default but the update progress is stuck at 99% at the amount of time elapsed is 20 hours
