My Computer,auto restarts on BSOD

That's fine, but did you clean up the thermal paste that was on the processor from the previous heatsink? If not, it may prevent the contact needed with the new thermal paste.

It is possible your processor is damaged and that is resulting in the temperature spike. Check the processor for any bent pins.

The problem could also be due to your motherboard. Are there any capacitors that look damaged or burnt?

My Computer, auto restarts on BSOD (Fixed)

:D Hi. bringing you up to date, after feeling down in the dumps,& thinking about getting a new MB & CPU, while browsing about the web, i came across this link. TWEAK: Enable HPET (in BIOS and OS) for better performance and FPS - Neowin Forums. I then checked my bios, & my MPET was set to 64bit. After setting it back to 32bit, and activated it in windows, it didn't seem to make any difference. So i re cleaned my CPU & checked the board CPU for any burnt chips, or anything out of the normal. I found under the heatsink bracket on the MB, some baked in dirt, After cleaning it off, as best as i could, i used some fresh Thermal paste. (Arctic MX-4) This time i spread it about a little using my finger. After putting the HS & Fan back on, i fired up my computer, hoping. & so far, for, 2 days now iv converted at least 40 f4v Files to avi & tried various tests that i couldn't do before, without my computer shutting itself off. So hopefully, its now FIXED.
I want to thank you for all your help.

Hi. One last thing, up to now i have been converting flash files to avi, and so far i haven't had a problem, plus other things that i couldn't do before, i can now. My question is, Core temp was getting high temperatures. So i stopped what i was doing(.avi,s) & rebooted into my BIOS, to see what my temp was there. It was 55c. Dose Core temp give a true reading or not?
By the way the temp at core#0 was at 112c, & both Load`s were at 100%. Would you say my temps are starting to get out of hand again ? Thank you for your time.

You should check with other programs, as well. it is a good idea to see if all programs read similar values to determine if one is buggy or getting the incorrect sensor data.

Use the following programs to monitor the temperatures.
