I have a Dell Latitude D830 Laptop

I recently replaced my hard drive (sATA) with a fresh one, loaded with Windows Vista. Before even using anything in Vista, I immediately upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate, without a hitch.

However, I seem to have lost the ability to select all using CTRL+a; it simply does nothing. Everything else works (ctrl+s, ctrl+x, ctrl+v, ctrl+c).

I cannot remember if it worked for the brief time I had Vista installed before upgrading to 7; it was a relatively short amount of time (like 20-30 minutes), so I don't know if I used CTRL+A then or not.

Any reasons why it won't work anymore, or how I can fix it?

Press Control + Windows Key + Alt simultaneously and all will be restored.

This info was culled from an arcane help manual at my disposal. YMMV
