My HID devices are not listed

I want to enable my laptop to wake with my HID compliant Logitech mouse but the power management tabs are missing so I ran "powercfg -devicequery wake_from_any" and was surprised to see that neither of my HID Logitech devices were listed. They both work perfectly in every other respect. Having read around the subject I thought that maybe the BIOS was to blame but when I looked there wasn't a power management option included in the Boot Menu. I have updated all of the drivers and check all of the USB Root Hubs and whilst they do have a power management tab the "allow this device to wake the computer" option is greyed out.

Any ideas anyone???

Thanks

Thanks for your response Ztruker. The devices are listed in device manager and they work perfectly well, but neither has a 'Power Management' tab under 'Properties'. All the USB Root Hubs have a 'Power Management' tab but the 'enable device to wake from sleep' tick box is always greyed out. Neither of the USB HIDs appear when I run 'powercfg -devicequery wake_from_any' only thePS/2 devices appear.

I can understand that, so that then begs two questions:
1. Is the correct driver available?
2. From where would I source the correct driver?

I have already used several different driver management utilities in addition to those provided by Microsoft and HP and every one tells me that I have the latest driver update, but obviously not necessarily the driver that I need.

Driver utilities are useless in my opinion, what Logitech mouse do you have and did you get the driver from Logitech?

I thought it might be a laptop thing but I checked mine and it has it on my laptop for my Logitech mouse.

The Logitech mouse is a M185 and I don't remember having an installation disk when I purchased it. I guess I can load down a driver from the net but I'm not sure about the installation process.

They don't have discs for their drivers, you can download them from their site though.

What I see for your mouse is the setpoint software, and a couple other customize software's.

It looks like that came with the little unifying receiver which doesn't need the setpoint software and usually installs the correct driver as soon as you plug it in.

If you want to see if installing the setpoint helps by giving you the power management tab, it's available here,
