I have a Dell 755 multiplex running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. I also have a Toshiba L455 Satellite Laptop and a Epson WF 2045 Multi function Printer behind a DIR-655 D-Link Router. This is the extent of my wireless Devices.
I just recently added the Wireless Network Adapter to the Dell configured it and placed in it service I am able to connect to the internet from the Dell and Toshiba. Here is where it gets a little squirrelly. When I map the network from the Dell, There is a Huge question Mark ICON and the word “Unknown” in the leg between the computer and the router and the Laptop and Multifunction printer is shown normally. When I map the Network from the Laptop, The Laptop and Multifunction is shown normally but the Dell is shown at the bottom lower left corner of the screen and the words above read” The following discovered devices cannot be placed on the map” This a consistent occurrence. I can’t connect to the Dell from the Toshiba and I don’t know how to correct the problem. I can provide screen shots if needed.

Some services you may try starting to see if it corrects the issue (skip homegroup if you are not using one):
- Computer Browser
- DHCP Client
- DNS Client
- Network Connections
- Network Location Awareness
- Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
- Server
- TCP/IP Netbios helper
- Workstation

- Homegroup Listener
- Homegroup Provider
- SSDP Discovery
- UPnP Device Host
- IPSec

I solved the problem by disableing the IPV6 options on both Network Adapter Cards. I can't explain why it worked but it did.

Recently learned that disabling IPv6 is not suggested by Microsoft. Try enabling again and see if issue will come back.
