My windows 7 64 bit wont play games.

when i try to run a game it tells me, "you have the wrong operating system. check if you need a 32 bit or 64 bit(X86)."
or something like that. the games used to work before it crashed.
will the games work if i install it in 32 bit? if so then how do i go about doing this?

Is this game new or old? Because if it's old, it might not support new OS' at all. Make sure you've updated it, and that it has support for Windows 7.
If so, try installing it in 32-bit.

That definitely sounds like what happens when you try to install an old game that isn't compatible with an x64 OS.
