I currently have the stock router that sky gave me, I think it's at 108mbs. I was wondering if I got an n router at 300mbs will it also increase the range? Are there any other advantages? :)

Meant to be 20mb, only get around 10mb though.
Range should go up.

Speed of course. Multiple frequency bands (reduces interference from other devices)

Usually the "N" routers also have better stateful packet examination for better security, etc.

BTW, the question got me to thinking and experimenting. A Linksys "G" vs A linksys "N" dual band.

The "N" more than doubled range (your results may vary), DL's were done in less than half the time.

Guess which router I left on my system?

Awesome :)
I've got a 300mbs wireless card in my pc and it's picking up the wireless (router is downstairs, pc is upstairs) but its not great signal.
Also my Internet download speed is meant to be 20mb but I only get around 10mb I'm guessing the new router won't help that at all?

Cant tell from the description but there should be an improvement from the "G" you had before. You could always add a repeater, etc.
