Need Full Detailed guide how to install Windows 7 SP1

Hi There, got a old laptop windows 7 can someone show me detailed guide how to completely install the service pack 1 the update are not showing in windows updates and either the manual download provided by microsoft is not working anymore

Do you want to Clean install Win 7 SP1 or just upgrade a win7 SP0 to SP1?

The SP1 you can download from MS catalog

Win 7 SP1 64
Win 7 SP1 32

After installing SP1 my suggestion is to use Simplix for the updates

Yeah i have no idea Man. i just handed out from a friend
anyway i just installed windows 7 SP1 now i got some remaining windows updates left but it always giving me bluescreens i tried two times to install the remaining but its still giving blue screens

Did you do a check disk?
Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
chkdsk c: /f
It will say your disk is in use and if you want to schedule to next start = yes
Restart
Pay attention on the results, specially bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors etc

does this mean i had a failing hdd? and not by installing windows updates?

You are having BSOD and it can be due to a failing drive.
The first step is to run check disk.
If it finds bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors etc, YES, your disk is dying.

i cant do the scan atm but can i give you a dmp crash file to check with?
