Greetings :)
I recently ran into some problems with my GTX 295.
When i first got it, i was really excited and started some benchmarking.
That really disappointed me, see it was kind of terrible.

I first tried out Crysis, in Full HD resolution with the best AA there is. ( I think it was 8x)
I got 5-15 FPS. I thought something was wrong, installed the lastest patch, lastest driver ( even Beta) lastest direct X, still nothing changed. I tried out other games, such as GTA IV and Fallout 3.
GTA IV was kind of less disappointing, but still disappointing as in 20 FPS with everything maxed out. But now, what really bugged me was Fallout 3.

That was the ultimate failure.
I was not getting only 15 FPS in a game that SLI 8800 GT can handle, only i would also get stuttering and lag. Out of sync, even though Vsync was turned on. And when i would use VATS, it would lag like hell until it reaches the enemy.

Am i asking too much from this card, or this is not supposed to happen?

PS: I have the all lastest driver from Asus, and from Nvidia.
I have tried this on 7100,7260 and 7600. Professional, Ultimate and Home Premium.
Tried it on Enterprise RTM version, no luck.
PS2: Any suggestion will do. No matter how absurd it is, im willing to try everything

Please help me solve this problem.

Thank you,
Alex.

Have you enabled SLI for it in Nvidia Control Panel?

Crysis I can kind of understand, I've only seen the Radeon 5000 series really tear that game up. GTA IV you should be getting great fps with your i7, despite graphics card. My friend's playing it at 70-100+fps on his i7, and he's still on 8800 Ultras.

But I really don't understand why the Fallout 3 fps is so low, either.

I have enabled SLI in Nvidia Control Panel, in fact i have tried a few combinations such as Alternate frame rendering and single GPU but nothing changed.
And, im overclocking to 3,7 so results should be even better.
And i also tried it without overclock, without any difference in the results.
I have installed all the latest patches and still, nothing.

Ah, I know what your problem is now. I had it too. Try disabling "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" in services. I was getting crap fps with this enabled, and disabling fixed all the low performance.

Update your drivers with the guide in my sig and then run Memtest86+ for a couple of passes, defragment your hard disk and run chkdsk. What antivirus are you using? Can you also post a screenshot of the msconfig startup tab before running the diagnostics.

If you are happy with the actual display results then do not mess with anything. I personally do not trust the bench marks out there as so many people have varied results. Just kick back and game! I am no gamer but I do a bunch of video stuff. The 8 cores and 12 gigs of ram run at 99% when I run video! But the system runs smooth and works flawlessly!
