Need wireless off premises

Grandkids have a "club house" 122 feet from my Buffalo router. The signal has to go thru a interior wall in the house, the exterior rock wall and the wood wall of the club house. What is the best way to set this up. The kids do a lot of movies, videos and some online gaming.

Does it not work now, low signal, no signal? We need a little more information about your configuration right now and what exactly is the problem. Or are you simply saying you bought a new Buffalo router and you want to know where's the best place to set it up??

Sorry, in a hurry and apparently lost some of my posting. It is a random signal, sometimes midrange sometimes no signal. Definitely need higher and more stable signal. My Buffalo is 2 years old so I am not oposed to purchasing a new one if it will give them a very good signal. Unfortunately, the location of the router cannot be changed nor can the location of their "club house". If they had a better signal, they would be in the club house not in the house!

Have you tried looking into outdoor wireless access points? These are things that you plug into your router with a single ethernet cable (of course they need power), and would broadcast a separate wireless signal that should be strong enough for your kids to use in their Club House. I guess your other option is to run 122ft+distance to your router, of Ethernet cable and Power Cable & buy a cheap router that would again give the kids a separate wireless signal but would let them be out your hair all the time!! There are also Wireless Range Extenders which repeat the signal from your Buffalo, that would be best put right next to the outdoor wall nearest the club house to maximise the signal to it.

I have an Asus RT-N10P and it reaches over 300' on the single wall side (to outdoors) and about 150' on the multiwall sides. That's a good usable signal. It goes farther but the signal strength tapers off rapidly. Signal strength will depend on items in the house that may block or reflect the signal. Keep metallic and electronic items away from the router. If you can't move the router, perhaps it can be elevated or placed on a shelf so the signal will be above items like mirrors, metallic panels, large TVs, refrigerators or other appliances.

Other than that, an extender or stronger router will be necessary.
