Network icon missing from system tray

Disable both of these. Test. Reset if necessary.

Only the icon fails to load, network connection and everything else works. but ill give it a try.

open regedit and browse to the following registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Delete the key which says HideSCANetwork

Reboot.

Yes, all drivers for all of my devices are Windows 7 x64bit certified.

Didnt find that key on the first path but it was present on the second path though, deleted and rebooted.

Its not missing again as of now, but im trying whatever possible solution to avoid this small issue.

sfc /scannow

Have you tried clearing the notification tray cache?

There's an option in CCleaner that does that, it's lower in the options - I don't know the exact name.

The catch is that after you do that you have to kill explorer.exe and then start it again.

Dude thank you so freaking much! i was having the exact same problem for a while now and that solved it..

What account are you using on your computer? I have noticed on my laptop that the icon does not show in the guest account while it does show in the admin account.
