Networking icon

Howdy

No biggie but i have somehow got this networking icon (3 green balls surrounding 1 blue ball) on my desktop. I cant delete or drag it to anywhere else. It doesn't bother me that much but Id like to be rid of it. Windows 7

Try this and see if that's it.

Right click a blank area on the desktop> Personalize> Upper left Change desktop icons

See if the Network icon is what you are seeing.



If so, untick it and Apply and OK your way out. All my icons are custom, so I'm unsure if it is what you are seeing. If not, post a screenshot:

Right click on the icon and choose properties, post a screenshot of that as well.

Hello ScoobyDog,

It sounds like you may have the HomeGroup desktop icon like below instead, but it's three blue balls around a green ball instead though. If so, you might see if the tutorial below may be able to remove it for you.
