I usually make a habit of checking Event Viewer (EV) on a regular basis, having installed new drivers and a new graphics card this morning, without a hitch, I decided to check EV since this was a rather big change to the system.

Sure enough there was some new entries. However when I looked into them, they offered little information as to what the problem was. When I used the link to see what online information was available, the Microsoft site came back with no information/fixes for this problem. These errors do not seem to be affecting anything, but I just wanted to know how you folks think I should proceed.

Here are the two errors and what info I could pull from EV:

Second error will be in the next post.

I just wanted to add that when I go into Device Manager there is no problem with the CD/DVD. I tried updating the driver through DM and Windows says the driver is up to date. I popped in a CD and it reads and plays no problem.

As suggested in Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 google the text and identifying numbers of repeat errors to learn how others have resolved them. Most are insignificant however I do as a rule try to resolve them all. It usually makes no difference as many are fluke errors or insignificant. The logs become a tool when you actually do have performance problems. Win7 should always be instantaneous and never hang with a perfect install on adequate hardware.

Thanks rocker. I did try googling prior to my post, but the results seemed unrelated to my issue. Just wanted to get a second opinion. The machine is working fine after a reboot today neither error showed. So I imagine you're correct. Fluky insignificant windows 7 errors.

Thanks again.
