Fixed!!!!!!!

i followed this guy's fix. basically it wiped the all bios blocks, and re flashed them all. something that EZ update does not do. I'm sure this program can work with any bios from any board. but don't hold me too that.

Everything is working now. I can finally shut off my PSU without having to clear CMOS, i can finally change RAM and CPU vales after they have been saved, and i noticed my BUS speed is actually running at 100MHz instead of the 99.8MHz it was running at before. Miracles do happen!!!

I hate ASUS support. i chatted them last night (Tech support) and he said that one of his reps will call me in 24hrs. so far that call hasn't come. curse ASUS. they make awesome products but have terrible support.

One thing is how strange it can happens and seems particular to the Pro board. The thread linked is already from two years ago and i'm amaze it has only five posts. It would have been good to know why it had happened to this board too, apart a Bios update issue we have no further explanations.

yea idk, maybe it is a bios update issue. idr if i tried to update it or not... too long ago. but i kept the tool along with my current bios version encase it happens again. got it all ziped up.

Which method (if you mind telling) are you using to Update your Bios, Usb Flashback or the Ai Suite Bios update?

On the one i've got i'm using Usb Flashback button with Usb Key. Found it a bit of a hassle first, but it seems better/safer for many Bios testing purpose. I'm asking because you could have turn off the computer at one time too fast or unplug the key and could have been the reason the Bios was not completed.

Have you tried a modded Bios once too? Anyway, keep the tool Ami file safe and welcome back!!

im using the EZ bios update in the actual bios. i just click the file and it does it all by its self.

i have looked into modded bios, but its kinda useless to me. inly thing i found modded bioses improve on is raid arrays.

Oh yea! I may have lost sleep on it and was up till 3am, but hands down better than dealing with Asus rma!
