It's looking pretty good. It froze up again yesterday morning. I clicked Start, clicked Devices and Printers, and it showed the laptop with a yellow warning flag on it. After researching it, the laptop showed a problem with the Intel Management Engine Interface. I went into Device Manager and deleted it, then rebooted, then had trouble with it, then rebooted, and it finally looks like it's ok (even though it disappeared for awhile and it didn't seem to affect the laptop operation). I've been turning the laptop on and off several times, with long waits between -- and everything seems to be working fine now. I have trouble sleeping, so I've gotten up in the middle of the night and tested it.
I appreciate all your help, IMMENSELY. I tried to give you another Thank You, but it won't let me without spreading the love around. But thank you very much -- it's nice to have the unit acting normally. I'll keep testing it and if everything continues to work properly, tomorrow I'll mark it Solved. Thanks Megahertz07.
