New system

Hello All,

I wonder if you can help me. I am building a new system using win 7 pro 64bit (retail) so as i understand it the product key will work on this new system as my current one is running 7 pro 32 bit.

Is there anyway that i can install 7 64bit on the new system and then copy over the programs? If so, how do i go about it? I have plenty of HD space for backing up (1.7TB free space).

It is my opinion that with a fresh install of Windows 7 on a new system one should install programs fresh also.

There is no way to tranfer programs from one system to another. They need to be reinstalled.
