no DirectX?? again

I have had an acer for about a year now and everytime it is turned off directx seems to disappear. ive tried reinstalling directx but i dont know if that has actually doing anything. i think directx just starts to work again after a while. what might be going on and what potentially could i do?

Welcome to Seven Forums TSHorlacher. As Rap asked, what is the actual issue that makes you think "everytime it is turned off directx seems to disappear". Are you getting an error? What error exactly? What causes the error? Next time your problem happens try this:

Start> In search box type dxdiag and press enter



What does the info say? What do running the test tabs at the top reveal? We basically need more info about the actual problem. A Guy

what i mean by disappear or gone is that ill try to open a game and it wont run because a window pops up saying i dont have dx and also while im on the internet any video and even images while i scroll up and down on a web page flash on and off. ive tried dxdiag and it stops half way through with an error.

I have Media Player Classic installed on my system and it kept complaining about DX9 not being installed.
It worked, nevertheless, but the error message was annoying to me.
I installed DX9 and have had no further error messages.

Perhaps your program needs DX9?

Once again, it stops 1/2 way through with what error exactly? We need as much precise information as possible to assist you. Which test, and what error? A screenshot is best. A Guy
