Solved No equalizer - what can I do?

Hello,

I had old speakers with Treble and Bass dimmers so that I could control the sound for different musics.
However, I bought new speakers without these dimmers, and I was looking for built-in Windows equalizer but I couldn't find any.
I opened my audio driver control panel which is named VIA HD Audio Deck and there is no equalizer there.
Is there anything I can do?
Maybe switch from VIA to Realtek (Does Realtek have an equalizer - or is it even possible to do that?)
and I am not talking about equalizer in programs such as Windows Media Player because I am also listening to music in YouTube

Thanks but,
This is not a real time equalizer, I have to change it everytime, then save it, then save to config etc etc I just gave up.
I am talking about an equalizer that you can simply move up or down some bars and not mess with manually inputting numerical values which I have no idea what everything does . . .
Any other options?

What is the actual sound chip that you have? e.g. RealTek? IDT?, etc.

For example, in my RealTek there is an option to set up various pre-configured EQ's or a graphic EQ.

Under Device Manager I see these :
-Via High Definition Audio
-Intel(R)
I think it's the VIA because it also has a GUI but the GUI does not have the equalizer like in RealTek

That's why some motherboards cost less than others. In the end, you have to buy more expensive speakers, a sound card or supplement with software. Drivers are hardware specific.

Well my motherboard is very cheap
So I guess I just can't have an equalizer with the built-in sound chip.
Maybe you recommend any internal sound card or perhaps even a USB sound card is good as well? (but with an equalizer )

That's odd. My VIA HD built in sound card drivers have an equalizer built in. I just open it up from the notification area and change the settings there. I just downloaded the latest driver from my motherboard's support website if I recall correctly.

Ha! I found it! I now somehow have it! Thank you oreo, after you posted the screenshot I had to check it again and voilà !
I guess it was updated not too long ago

I would like to add something else for anybody who might have the same problem with VIA HD Audio Deck:
I just found out why I didn't find the equalizer at first :
When I press the equalizer button it shows me "Bass Managment" and only after I press it again it switches to "Sound Equalizer", and then Bass Managment disappears and I can't find it again (until I close and re-open the VIA HD Audio Deck) - weird bug ?

Sounds off. I don't have the "Bass Management" window you're referring to. Maybe this is dependent on what version of the driver you have installed. I'm not certain though.

This is weird for me too, it seems like a bug, I will upload some photos to show you:

1 - The first time I open the VIA HD Deck and point cursor at the Equalizer icon : (It shows "Bass Managment" instead :sarc

2 - After I press that Equalizer icon (that is showing "Bass Managment"):

3 - After the "Bass Managment" window is opened, I hover again over the Equalizer icon and finally it shows the
correct thing (aka "Sound Equalizer" ) :

4 - Finally, I press the Sound Equalizer icon again and get this window :

As you can see I somehow get a Bass Managment window that I don't know from where it appears, and I can't access it after pressing Sound Equalizer (I have to exit the Deck to see it again)

That is one weird driver application. I'm using a different one. It seems the driver you'll get will depend on the particular motherboard you are using. Hope it helps someone in the future.
