Solved No longer able to change wallpaper locations

Hi All,

After a nice crash I can no longer change my wallpaper folders? I can download and install themes but as soon as I click on browse I can find and select a differant folder but no pictures are shown and the folder location next to browse does not change? I tried the reg file to enable this but no go. I'm using Windows 7 home premium. No system restore or current backups to try unless I want to go back a few months.

Any ideas?

Hello Rockit,

Could you post back with a few screenshots showing all this to see if something may stand out as a cause?

In addition, double check the folder location to make sure that the images are still in the folder, and that they are not set to be hidden.

As a test, are you able to change your desktop background using OPTION THREE in the tutorial below?

For now, you might see if running a sfc /scannow command may be able to help if it's a corrupted file at faulet.

Thanks Shawn,

I tried just about everything including what you suggested. Then I went thru my backup drives and found one from 12-4-12. Now back to tweaking. I Clone my Data daily so nothing loss but my time.
