Solved No new updates? Is that right

Since Windows 7 was available for students I have been using it, but I have not noticed any updates lately on Windows Update. I think since I installed it I only got maybe 2 or 3. Is this right or have their been ones just not realeased on WinUpdate?

There hasn't been any officially released updates for Windows 7 outside of Windows Defender or the like.

I don't even seem to pull Visual Studio 2008 updates from it either.

i guess that's normal. once w7 is released, we may get to see some new updates.

I've gotten 1 Windows update on 8/29. all the rest are office, dirvers, MSE ect.

It's so good, it doesn't need to be updated yet.

Supposedly updates are coming to Windows Update when it hits public release on October 22.

There are quite a few drifting out there in the wild that are supposedly the ones coming in October. However, there's no way to confirm if they're the final revision, and which, if any, are actually being released.

Anyway, probably another month before you see anything on Windows Update for the OS.

You might have to download the Microsoft Update plugin or whatever for Windows Update to deliever updates for Office/ Visual Studio/etc.
