no sound in audio

Hello yall I am new to the forum and I have a question
I was using some nch software and I did not want to buy some of it so I uninstalled the ones that I did not like.
after that my pc is now saying that there are no sound devices installed and at other times it says that there are no audio devices enabled. I have got all the latest drivers for my the audio, I have a system restore, I have enabled it in the services.msc, I have run virus test, I have gone to the intel and the realtek sites to download the right drivers, I have also the MS troubleshooting on my pc and got the red x on the sound symble. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the driver disk that came with the computer? If you do then start there.

hello paul I am wondering if it is a virus or is it my HDMI cord?

it is a custom build but I do have the Windows 7 disk...do you think that would help?

The mobo came with a driver disk so find that if you saved it.

Reverting is a very good idea. Go back to an older point if you can.

My guess is that NCH installed drivers for the video capture, which are dominating the proper drivers. If reverting doesn't do it, go to Control Panel / Programs and uninstall anything NCH. Then go to Device Manager and choose Show Hidden Devices, then uninstall anything from NCH.
