I have read various threads relating to this and I just cannot get it to work. I have done it many times before in Win XP. One of the threads says that you need to paste the old Normal file into Document Building blocks-1033 however 1033 contains a folder 14, if i open 14 it contains Files Building Blocks and Built-In Building Blocks.

I have tried pasting it into both folders 1033 and 14 but it does not work.
None of the Auto text or any of the other items that I would normally expect to add in work. Also in the past this process would also bring in my Macros however from what I have read this does not apply now? Is this the case?

With regard to Macros as the computer I am using was the victim of HDD failure I don't have the option of exporting now as is recomended. I have never had to do that before as they came in with Normal.Dot

I should be very grateful if someone could point out where I am going wrong as this is driving me bonkers.

Thanks in anticipation

John
