Nostromo n52 Speedpad problems

Ok, so I have an older n52 speedpad that I'm trying to use on a new laptop that is running Windows 7 x64. The drivers for this device haven't been updated for 7 compatability, but I have read(in this forum) where people are using their n52s. Everything seems to work like normal with it EXCEPT I can't load a profile in the loadout manager. I can edit profiles and save them, but the option under Controller Profiles in the loadout window is greyed out and says 'no profiles'. Any help here would be amazing

I have the n52te, have not tried any profiles for W7.
However, have a look here in case it helps
