Every time I use my computer, whether I open Firefox or Notepad, it freezes with "not responding." After a minute or so it releases. Then it happens periodically. What do I do to make this stop?

rb:type msconfig, tap Enter and open the Start up tab. Uncheck everything except security software and reboot and see if that helps. A netbook with an Atom CPU is meant only for very basic surfing, email, and not too much else, certainly not games beyond Solitaire. some 3rd party browsers use a lot of resources as well.
