Notebook 24 Hours Open?

Can I leave my notebook 24 hours open?
I am doing video editing and it takes time and it uses lots of performance of the notebook too.
Will I damage my notebook by keeping it open to do video editing always?

I dont think that it will cause damage. Although there is debate in this area, I suggest that you do boot the computer now and then. It is good that the computer boots and resets all of its software. I make sure that I boot at least once a week. I let it sleep when not in use.

the only problem you may get is overheating.

if you can safely angle the machine so that air can get underneath, it will run cooler.

Also take the battery out if you have it connected to the mains, this will prolong the life of your battery.

I am booting it every couple of days.
I have a cooler under the notebook.
I never keep the battery in the notebook if I am not using it.

My worry is I got a couple of blue screens in the last week.
I know that it happens when I use the video batch program continuously.
I believe that is the cause.
Just I don't know how to get the blue screen logs in 7 Ultimate.
I am trying to reach the c:\Windows\memory.dmp file, but it is saying "Access Denied" even though I am the Administrator and the only user.
Should I be afraid of these blue screens (These happened before while the Video Editing Program is running for a long time.) ?
Is it ok to get those 2-3 times a week?
