Hi everyone so I have a really weird issue I been trying to figure out for the past few hours. Running Win7 64. When I lower my volume all the way down on my keyboard it only lowers the left speaker but the right speaker continues to have audio. Even if I go into Sound settings and lower the volume all the way down the right side still continues to have sound.

I've already tried reinstalling the drivers, restarting the computer, and tried a different USB port for the keyboard. Any thoughts? Thanks for any help!

Hi,

are you plugged into the rear audio port? do you have a front audio port to try speakers on?

Yes they are plugged into rear audio port into my xonar dx sound card. I have 5.1 setup but I did a test and all the speakers are working fine and where they should be. I don't have a front audio port unfortunately.

I don't have another pair of speakers but when I plug my headphones in same thing happens when I adjust the volume only left side adjusts. Thanks for the help so far.

I actually don't have that or ubuntu. I noticed inside my Device Manager that there's a WPD Filesystem Volume Driver error? Not sure if this is related to the problem.

It's listed under Portable Devices but the weird thing is I have nothing plugged in no USB drives or CF cards or anything.

So I figured out that the WPD filesystem volume driver was the monitor, I unplugged it and it went away. But still have the audio issue so I think it was unrelated. I appreciate the help so far.

i would test with a live cd like ubuntu. burn it to disk can use imgburn for that. do not install to the computer just run it from the disk. will ask you if want to try first. see if the volume works correctly or does same thing.

So for some reason uninstalling the sound card again made it work! I'm not sure why I had done this previously but decided to just try it one more time and it works now! I appreciate all the help anyway oscer!
