old 7850 fan not spinning

Hi, I booted up my old PC earlier but I realized neither of the fans were spinning. The GPU itself is detected, I checked in catalyst control center and it was there, I tried putting the fan speed to 100% but I couldn't hear anything. In catalyst control center, the IDLE temp is about 34 degrees Celsius. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Edit: The normal temp I get when IDLE is 20-25 degrees celcius. IF my fans have died, can anyone recommend some 3rd party ones?

well before you determine if theyre knackered, crack open your pc and first check they arent moving when on. if they arent turn off the pc and spin them a few times by hand, there maybe dust causing them to no longer conduct (if they're brushed motors) if that doesnt work grab a can if compressed air or car break cleaner and spray the motors. (the latter is safe around electronics) and then test.

if that doesnt work its new cooler time.

20-25c seems a tad low at idle unless you live in a very cold country as its only a smidgen above ambient temperature. im guesstimating here as its always around 15-20c in my room at this time of year.

Yes they're not moving when on, I span them a few times by hand cleaned them a bit with my dust off can. Can you recommend any coolers? I live in the UK, in the winter it sometimes is around 18 degrees

lol I live in england to. even at 18c ambient temps I high doubt youd get 20-25c. the inside of your case would be 30+ with all the hot stuff going on!

bump, I think I know what might be wrong...I was trying to get rid of dust on the graphics card fans using a can of compressed air but it wasn't working very well, sometimes when you use it, liquid comes out instead of air and then freezes instantly. I'm pretty sure this happened to me and might have froze the motor or something
