With HP, it almost seems that you either get a 'good one' or a 'bad one.' The good ones are usually great, virtually no problems --- (although, yes, they definitely run a little warm). But the bad ones -- Whew! And they are made even worse by the poor (totally inadequate) tech support. I've had several, and when I bought my HPdv5t, the 1st one sent to me was a 'bad one.' with all kinds of problems. I demanded an exchange and was afraid they were going to send me another lemon, but I got lucky, and the replacement laptop I was sent has been close to perfect for 2 1/2 years ---
till now. Having a bit of a problem now because suddenly, when I shut the lid of the laptop it seems to have lost the 'sleep' function. The best I can do is get it to 'hybernate' --- which is not quite as good. And I'm reluctant to call HP tech support, because they'll probably only make the situation worse!
