Can anyone help?

This started yesterday and cannot seem to find what the problem is...

an error message popping up and cannot remove it.. also am currently unable to save any images, some programs will not open, restore point only shows today and yesterday when the error message arose.

Within the pop-up error message box titled
OpenAcess.exe - no disk error message

"There is no disk in the drive please insert a disk into drive/device/harddisk2/dr2"


when clicking on any of the options on the error message box it has no effect.



Advice anyone?

Looks like you have been infected to me. I would click the red triangle at the top right of your post and ask Admin to move this thread to the Security section where an expert will look at it for you!

I might be wrong though, something in the back of my mind say problem with Chrome! Is that the browser you use?

sometimes use Chrome but usually Internet Explorer.... will try removing Chrome and see if problem remains..

Then I am pretty sure you a have a nastie in there. Be patient, a security expert will be long soon.

While you are waiting i have just noticed that whilst your Country Flag is the UK your local time is showing you in the USA it says 11.32 AM whereas mine is 6.32PM. Your time zone in your profile needs resetting, that's assuming you are in the UK of course.

Let's see if we can spot what might be causing this ....

Download DDS from one of these links:

DDS.pif

• Disable any script blocking protection
• Double click the dds icon to run the tool.
• When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
  1. DDS.txt
  2. Attach.txt <--- will be minimized in the task tray
• Save both reports to your desktop.

Include the contents of both logs in you

Don't worry about this if you are working with Jacee but when ready:
Click on "User CP" at the top of this Forum, Find Settings and Options in menu on left an choose Edit Options. Then scroll down to Time Zone and select the UK Time Zone.

What Anti-virus program are you running? It may be blocking the download. Try one of these links, but be sure to SAVE it before running:

I see you have AVG and MSE both running as your Anti-virus. Running two Anti-virus programs will limit your computer's resources as they are "resource hogs". They may also fight each others definitions, so it's best to run only one "real time" Anti-virus program

Please choose which Anti-virus you would like to keep and uninstall the one you don't want

To uninstall AVG: Scroll down to AVG 'remover' Comprehensive List of 26 Uninstallers and Removal Tools for Internet Security and Antivirus Software
To uninstall MSE, click on the removal tool download here: Microsoft Security Essentials Removal Tool Download


Now, please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.

• Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
  Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
• Click on the Scan button.
• AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
• After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R0].txt) will open in Notepad for review.
• The contents of the log file may be confusing. Unless you see a program name that you know should not be removed, don't worry about it. If you see an entry you want to keep, let me know about it.
• Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
• A copy of all logfiles are saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool.
