What would you consider reasonable temperatures for an AMD Athlon X2 QL-65 Mobile CPU. (Im pretty sure its 2 separate 1.05 GHz CPUs in the laptop). I would prefer a temp in F.

See, my computer cut the power the other day cause it overheated, and I was just wondering, what should I allow the max temp to be?

You have a dual core with each core running at 2.1 ghz. The max temp is 100 degrees celcius (212 F).

AMD Athlon 64 X2 QL-65 - AMQL65DAM22GG

But the thermal protection mechanism would kick in in the early nineties and shutdown the processer to prevent damage. A temp in the fifeties should be fine in normal use while climbing into the seventies could be expected in gaming etc. Download a temp monitoring utility like speed fan and watch how temps behave. Also try using a usb cooling pad.

Just wanted to add you might want to get some canned air and blow out your fans and ports.
I would do this before I used it one day when it is cold and make sure not to spin your fans to fast as sometimes you can cause damage to them.
